I am deeply honored and privileged to greet our more than 900,000 Filipino teachers in the celebration of the World Teachers’ Day with the very opportune theme, “The Transformation of Education Begins with Teachers” and “Gurong Pilipino, Dangal ng Sambayanang Pilipino,”
Napakahalaga ng temang nabanggit dahil natataon ito sa tinatawag na Fourth Industrial Revolution–the age of artificial intelligence, smart technologies, augmented realities, and cyber systems that obliterate the boundaries between the physical and digital.
Because of their unwavering commitment and dedication to raising and nurturing, humane, and lifelong learners, we are heading closer and closer to our goal of delivering quality, accessible, relevant, and liberating basic education. For this, they deserve this honor, our gratitude, and the nation’s tribute.
On this World Teachers’ Day, as we celebrate teachers’ important contributions to improving the lives of children and youth around the world, we reaffirm our call for the increase of salaries and other emoluments of our qualified teachers. We urge our government and the international community to join us in this endeavor, so that all children and young people, no matter their circumstances, can secure their right to quality education and a better future.
On behalf of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), thank you, dear teachers!
Please greet, like, comment and share if you care for our teachers.
